Pile In Structure
Pile, in building construction, a postlike foundation member used from prehistoric times. In modern civil engineering, piles of timber, steel, or concrete are driven into the ground to support a structure; bridge piers may be supported on groups of large-diameter piles.
Piling Engineering
Piling is defined as being foundations that are driven or bored through the ground along a certain length of area to carry and transfer loads to soil considered to be weak in structure due to the soil conditions.
RCC Piles
RCC piles are foundation pile used for the building construction in mountainous areas. And for slope protection, anchor bolt and geogrid are widely used. In this research, concrete piles of varying depth and diameter from 600 to 800 mm and 12 m to 20 m depth were driven into the ground.
Benefit of Piling
Piling foundations are unquestionably one of the strongest options you can choose for your foundations. In fact, they are so strong that many engineers use piling as the foundations for buildings which must withstand extreme forces. For example, many buildings in earthquake-prone areas are built upon pile foundations.
